AOL MY MUSIC : AOL MY MUSIC LAUNCH PARTY

CHALLENGE

UCG Marketing worked alongside AOL to create a memorable and exciting event to help launch AOL’s My Music campaign to create awareness for this new service (what new service?) in Boston. With highly touted musical guests such as Silvertide and the Goo Goo Dolls giving unforgettable performances at a popular nightclub, guests experienced what AOL My Music was all about (what was is all about?).

    SOLUTION

  • Hosted event at Roxy nightclub in Boston and included premium bar and full catering services to all invited guests
  • Consumers were admitted on an “invitation only” basis to enhance the exclusivity of the function
  • Featured musical performances by Silvertide and the Goo Goo Dolls and arranged for a private “meet and greet” with the Goo Goo Dolls for VIP guests
  • Distributed customized gift bags and raffle prizes to all guests including: iTunes certificates, Silvertide CDs, Goo Goo Dolls CDs, BBR DVDs, Stickers, insert cards and a signed guitar by the Goo Goo Dolls
  • Utilized additional custom branded items such as: signage (banners + gobos), napkins, illuminated straws, cups, server t-shirts, illuminated martini glasses, and two 800 pound AOL ice sculptures

    RESULTS

  • 2,000 invited guests attended the event and experienced an exclusive concert
  • 2,000 gift bags were distributed with AOL My Music content and additional branded items
